Sean Carroll - OWNER/COACH
Sean brings a great amount of experience and passion to Rebuild Health and Fitness/CrossFit 4178 having worked in the fitness industry since 2009 having run a successful PT business as well as managing another local gym.
Previous to opening CrossFit 4178 in 2013, Sean has played top-level rugby in Queensland and Wales in the UK, it was there during a preseason he first found CrossFit and a renewed passion for health and fitness! During his time as a coach he’s worked with some of the best Strength and Conditioning, Nutrition and Mental Performance coaches in the industry both in Queensland and Overseas.
He truly believes whatever your fitness goals maybe he can help you achieve them. Along with the other coaches at Rebuild Health and Fitness he aims to provide the best coaching experience possible so come on down today and tap into the vast experience the team here has to offer!

James Batey
Owner/Coach - James comes to CrossFit 4178 with over 12 years experience in health & Fitness. Always surrounded by sport from a young age. James has played many sports throughout his career reaching different heights in each. Rugby union is where he gained the most experience. Playing county rugby all through his childhood until he captained his college for two years before heading off to university to play straight years with Glamorgan University premier grade, winning a premiership in the Great British University league.
James’s was also selected to represent Wales at university rugby 7s. After finishing university he moved to Australia to play rugby, which is were the love of CrossFit started. After suffering a broken leg, James used CrossFit as a rehab tool and has never looked back. The way CrossFit made him think about different movement patterns was life changing for him. Gaining strength through greater range of motion.
James Takes pride in the success and development of every individual he coaches, he is passionate about mentoring people, believing everyone has the potential to be who they want to be and that it is never too Late. James’s next phase of his growth has him studying with the Mac Nutrition university.

callum Devine
His previous sporting background includes a large variety of sports including, basketball, volleyball, rugby union, AFL and swimming competing through the years at a representative level.
Having found CrossFit in 2011 and loved it ever since the competitive nature of the sport and the fun he had while doing it is something second to none. He firmly believes everyone should give it a try and see how much fun you can have.
First CrossFit gym he came into was CrossFit Woolloongabba and where learnt from some great coaches and gained valuable experience.
He enjoys following the WWC, and over the following years has taken into researching a lot of training components and methods adopted by the top weightlifters throughout the world.
The team at CrossFit 4178 is a great unique bunch of characters whom all come from different backgrounds and have much knowledge about the concepts and methodologies throughout the sport of CrossFit and can assist in many ways.
